4-Methylcyclohexanone is clear colorless organic compound with faint benzene-like odor. It has molecular formula C7H12O with molar mass of 112.172 g/mol. This compound finds application as intermediate for glimepiride which a medication used for treatment of diabetes mellitus type-2. It has high purity level and shows ability to accept 1 hydrogen bond during a chemical reaction. 4-Methylcyclohexanone has boiling point range of 169 to 171 degrees Celsius with density of 0.914 g/mL.
